Terms & Conditions

This agreement is made between County Cladding Systems Ltd (hereafter “CCS”) and the customer(s) and is subject to the terms and conditions listed below:

Installation & Scheduling

Installation dates are estimates and subject to UK weather and working conditions. If changes occur, alternative dates will be offered.

Guarantees & Warranties

Customer guarantee becomes effective upon completion and full payment. CCS is an approved Freefoam Building Products Ltd installer, which entitles the customer to:

  • White uPVC fascias, soffits & cladding: 50-year cover for fading, discolouration, warping & cracking
  • Coloured, foiled & woodgrain products: 10-year cover
  • Rainwater products: 10-year cover
  • Gutter installation: 2-year warranty (excludes damage caused by external factors such as cables, ladders, debris, snow, storms, etc.)

Existing Property Limitations

CCS does not guarantee against water ingress in dormers or soffits of existing buildings with pre-existing issues. Dry Verge installations may be displaced during extreme weather. Re-secure work will be charged at an agreed nominal fee.

FENSA & Manufacturer Warranties

  • Windows and doors: FENSA registered
  • Conservatories: Manufacturer’s warranty (not FENSA-covered)
  • Guarantees sent post-payment/completion

Windows & Doors

  • Window frames & exterior cills: 10-year guarantee
  • Sealant, furniture & handles: 2 years
  • Sealed glazed units: 5 years (excluding breakages)
  • Letter plates: 2 years (excludes misuse)
  • Doors: Free servicing for 6 months (up to 3 visits) excluding weather damage or misuse
  • Door parts such as cills, gaskets, locks, etc. not covered for wear and tear or neglect

Customer Responsibilities

  • CCS not responsible for future maintenance
  • Customer must provide 240V power access
  • Report any damages within 7 days of installation

Installation Conditions

CCS will minimise but cannot guarantee zero disruption to surroundings (brickwork, plaster, tiles, etc.). Customer is responsible for any additional contractors (painters, plasterers, etc.).

Fixtures & Fittings

CCS will assist but is not liable for blinds, shutters, cables, curtain rails or their removal/refitting.

Additional Work

Any extra work or materials not included in the original quote (known as “variations to contract”) will incur additional charges. Dangerous waste (e.g. asbestos) is not removed by CCS.

Unexpected Findings

CCS is not responsible for removal of bees, wasps, bats, vermin, gas pipes, or electrical/satellite cables. Assistance may be given in organising removal.

Property Damage

Reasonable care will be taken to avoid damage. CCS accepts no liability for consequential damage or loss.

Payment Terms

  • Full payment required immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed
  • Title to goods remains with CCS until fully paid
  • Late payments may incur interest (5% above Lloyds TSB base rate) and admin fees
  • Snags do not excuse non-payment; agreed instalments must be maintained

Partial Completion

If delays occur due to third parties or weather, part-payment will be required for completed work, with the balance due upon final completion.

Contract Formation

Agreement becomes binding once the order is signed. CCS reserves the right to cancel due to underpricing or other unforeseen issues. Deposits will be fully refunded in this case.

Call-outs & Cancellations

  • Standard issues resolved in 7–10 working days
  • Express call-outs available (24 hours) for a fee
  • Order cancellations are at CCS’s discretion; expenses may be claimed after the cooling-off period
  • Cooling-off period: 7 days from signing date

Delays by Others

CCS reserves the right to charge for downtime caused by third-party contractors or delays, and for work done up to that point.

Statutory Rights

These terms do not affect your statutory or common law rights.

Warranty Summary

General

All installations by CCS or its associates are warranted as follows:

  • Fascias & Soffits (White): 50 years
  • Fascias & Soffits (Coloured/Foiled): 10 years
  • Guttering:
    • White: 10 years
    • Coloured: 10 years
  • Windows & Conservatories:
    • Frames: 10 years
    • Sealed units: 4–5 years
    • Furniture (locks, handles, fittings): 2 years
  • Dry Verge: 10 years (excludes storm damage; repairs chargeable)

Exclusions

Warranty excludes:

  • Wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorised repairs
  • Paint/coating applied by others
  • Consequential loss
  • Issues outside specified performance standards

Notification

Defects must be reported in writing within 3 months of appearance, with proof of purchase.

Freefoam Lifetime White Product Guarantee

  • Valid for 50 years (if registered at myfreefoam.com within 1 month of install and only Freefoam products used)
  • Pro-rated cover from year 11 onward
  • Transferable within the first 10 years (must be registered after change of ownership)

Freefoam Coloured Product Guarantee

  • 10 years (registration required)
  • Subject to similar limitations and exclusions as white products

Freefoam Foiled Woodgrain Guarantee

  • 10 years (registration required)
  • Subject to similar limitations and exclusions as above
  • Only valid at elevations < 1800m above sea level
